Animal Advocacy at Noah's Ark
Noah’s Ark strives to teach compassion and respect for our animal friends.
We advocate for animal rights by becoming involved in the community and by being a resource. Our hope is that our customers and clients will become more involved in contributing to and helping our fellow four legged creatures in the community as well as worldwide. We are involved in local and global fundraisers and events to benefit animals.

Please see the links below. These are all very worthwhile organizations that take great care of the animals. Incredible rescue operations for the horses that have worked so hard and deserve a dignified retirement. Thank you to the humans that run these organizations!!

E.P.O.N.A

Our Mims Retirement Haven
In memory of the great mare and her dear friend, Jeanne Mirabito created the Our Mims Retirement Haven so other mares will be cared for once their broodmare careers are over.

“....she works miracles taking care of the elderly broodmares. Her farm is in Paris, KY.”

– Linda Madsen, Portland, ME ….Horse Rescue Person Extraordinaire

Old Friends, A Kentucky Facility for Retired Thoroughbreds
“My friend, Michael Blowen's site.....has three mares (two quite elderly), a pony (Little Silver Charm whom Michael pulled from a slaughter truck), many geldings (including my special boys, Riva Way and Cappucino Kid) and retired stallions (some of whom were destined for slaughter). He does amazing things. His farm is in Georgetown, KY. It is the only rescue and retirement facility which will take stallions."
– Linda Madsen, Portland, ME

Alex Brown Racing
Site for Fans of Barbaro. Since dear Barbaro left us, our Internet group has earned around $1.1 million to use for laminitis research, ongoing anti-slaughter campaigns, rescue of horses. We have rescued 2800 horses....all in the name of Barbaro, a very special animal.
